There is never enough space for container plants when the plants are kept on tables. Tables offered for sale at garden shops, nurseries and the "big box" home improvement stores are fine. There are those of us who can get materials without cost and build tables. The table below was made from 3 pallets used to transport swimming pool heaters. The tables are held together with screws, smaller wood pieces... In this example discarded survey stakes are used; and scraps of metal flashing. .

Three pallets are stacked for the top and legs of the table. |
The top and legs are attached by screws driven through strips of metal. here, a small piece of flashing is used. After securing all four corners of the table in a similar manner a few seconds spent in squaring the table will be time well spent. |

Simple, isn't it? |
A short piece of wood is used on an angle between the top and leg to add extra stabilituy. Each conrer should be braced in this manner. |
The table is further stabilized with small pieces of wood running across the table at the base. |
You get the idea... |

For those who live in moist climates where termites and other wood eating insects crawl across the ground... A simple shield for the table can be made with metal flashing and bricks. The installation here uses pads approx 6x12 inches and concrete bricks. This won't completely stop the termites but it will slow them down. |
